we didn't need it!  We are 13 months out from surgery, and one nerve down, but that didn't stop us, nor hold us down.  I am happy to report that hubby was able to become fully erect without medication!  

It really is difficult to describe how happy I feel this morning following our weekend.  Yes, the sex was great, but I am overjoyed for my husband, truly in a state of awe.  To watch this man push through this process of sexual recovery with a positive attitude has been amazing and empowering.

I've come to realize I have a soft spot in my heart for men who are in a state of sexual recovery following surgery (hormones guys too).  Some of you are great and life is back to normal, other's are struggling, and I can only imagine how tough that must be.  To think that my husband would ever feel less than a man because that part of his body wasn't working was heart wrenching to me early on.  We knew it was an uphill battle, but I always had a sense about staying positive.  This stigma of prostate cancer is bad enough, but if you are a surgery guy your sexual future sounds grim...sad...pathetic.  My hope is that our story will give you hope for a better day.   

A few months back, our story appeared in the PCRI (Prostate Cancer Reserach Institute) newsletter.  I guess it is time to update that story...it's a new day!

I am so happy for you. Brought a little tear to my eye. It is a tough time for my hubby. We have been told HT indefinitely so erections without meds is likely a thing of the past but love conquers all

Walkbyfaith that is just fantastic news. Amanda and I are so happy for the both of you. We hope we will get to see you again this year. It is such a privilege to know two terrific people as you are. Todd

littlnm, thank you so much. Yes, love DOES conquer all! We were very content having sex using trimix, and would have been for a very, very long time. It was funny, because as soon as I told hubby he should tell his uro about his progress, he said, "no, I don't want him to cancel trimix"! I never thought I'd be saying this, BUT :p we REALLY enjoyed trimix!

My understanding is that trimix freezes. If you pop that expired bottle in the freezer it can continue to work for him for years, just like it did over the weekend.

Thanks for posting your good results. I am happy for the both of you.

I am 13 months out of DiVinci surgery and just starting my injection therapy. Maybe I should have started it sooner.

With posts like yours I know there is hope for alot of us.

That is some really great news and I am very happy for the both of you.

The "Bonus Days" of life are always there, but every once in a while they really surprise and wow you.

Last week I saw a 60 minutes show on the dangers of non-FDA drugs from compound pharmacies. Then I thought about trimix being non-FDA from a compound pharmacy. I haven't had any issues, and my pharmacy is pretty clean but, just the same, I would never again use expired trimix and may never even use trimix again. Not worth the risk, plus it began giving me a bit of peyrone's disease.

This is bluebird's better half. I spoke to Mr. walkbyfaith a few weeks ago. I am thrilled by your news and inspired that better times may lie ahead for us as well. I am almost 5 months out from surgery and have been using trimix therapeutically. The other day I spontaneously had a partial erection without any trimix or medication. I hope to follow in Mr. walkbyfaith's footsteps. The positive attitude both of you have displayed leads the way.

Go meet the pharmacist who does your compounding, and talk about their procedures. Or maybe change pharmacies (then talk to them). The situations that sparked all the controversy was a compounding pharmacy that became an industry. The guy who makes mine is all about precision, and has been a big help in getting the insurance to cover it.
