Hello Everyone - Thank you so much for your kind words, prayers and the peace lillies and flowers! It is so kind of you to show our family such love. My dad loved you all as well.

For those of you who can't attend the services in person or dislike public speaking, we have a facilitator available to read letters, poems, or funny stories. Feel free to send them to my husband Frank at frankphurst AT yahoo DOT com.

Thank you for posting, Jennifer!

You and your family continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

We will be on a cruise during the time of your Dad's services. We will take time to reflect and do something special in remembrance of your Dad on that day.

In your Dad's words:
"Grand idea on taking the cruise and living it up a bit. You two have had a really hard go of it the last months – to get away will do you both the world of good. Just getting away – being away from the ‘normal’ day to day life is good. I know when we go to Gigi’s and spend the night – its like a vacation."

So, I guess he will understand our physical absence. <3

i cry easier since getting cancer but those wonderful pictures would have brought tears to my eyes anytime. What a wonderful happy looking family.

Jennifer, as you can tell from the post, our love for each other does not have the bounds of time and distance. Your dad allowed us into his word of joy and love for his family. We all feel like Uncles and Aunts to Gigi.

The little token of our love being sent to guys is a way for us to express our joy and celebration of your Dads life.

Words don't do it, but so wonderful to put a face and family with the kind man we knew - all your smiles so heartwarming ..... and Gigi. He didn't fight alone. Hugs and prayers.

Thank you Jennifer, for finding time to start this thread, given all that you and your family are feeling and going through right now.

I just went through some of the photos on the link you provided, and the one, clear common thread is the incredible smile your father wore - every time. Incredible......

While I never had the privelege of meeting your father in person - I will add to so many others that have told you and your family that as a "newbie", 'Raddad' was one of the first to offer a warm welcome to me, at a time when I was so confused and vulnerable. Your father touched so many, so sincerely.

What more can I say. He was an incredible, caring man with such a love for everyone. Cancer no longer has a hold of him....he beat that crap. He is at peace, pain free and still watching over everyone...especially his beloved Gigi. ((((()))))))

Your Dad was an incredible man who touched so many with prostate cancer. I am so honored that you used my quote in the obituary about him and Healing Well. We were his second family and all honored to have known him such a short time. Bud never talked much about his private life because he wouldn't stop talking about his wife and 2 fantastic daughters and of course his precious GiGi, he was so proud his family. There are a lot of things about his life in the obituary that none of us knew about. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
