Got the catheter removed this afternoon after 14 days from surgery! Feels great to freed up.
I seem to have more control than I ever thought I might. It is early in the night, but seems I can hold it for the most part. Anytime I get up or cough, there is a stream let loose though.
It's been around 50 years, but I'm wearing diapers again. Full circle :)
Next up: blood work next Monday, and meeting with my medical oncologist here in Ohio the Thursday following.

Hey congrats...I still remember vividly putting a diaper on the day mine was removed....Oh and I called my cath FRED and boy was I glad to get rid of ole FRED. You'll be surprised what doesn't bother you not to have a Fred.


You have many things to look forward too....baby steps now get to pads...Kegels...do them.

Mine comes out tomorrow. A bit anxious about the removal "procedure" (yeah, I hear that it is nothing to worry about), but will be thrilled to have the cath in the garbage instead of in my willy.

Congrats on loosing the tube Wally.

Congrats. Good luck Wally. I am having the same problem but only 2 days after surgery with suprapubic in. God I hope this stops.
