Just got the email from my Uro's office.
PSA is 1.0
That's down .2 from last test. Retest is scheduled in 6 months.
I am happy with that at about
15 months out from IGRT.
Not sure how much lower it will go or how close to nadir this is but I'll take the results.
Bartender, set up 'em up for the house.
All the best,
Andrew

Andrew, this is great news. YeeHaw!!!
So now what new and fun project do you have planned for the wood shop? Seems to me that you mind is now clear to go have fun in the shop and not be so distracted that an accident will be in your future.
Safety first,
Sonny

Andrew, I think that truly is a good number, but isn't "1" an increase of .8 over .2? Math is not my strong point, but a whole number is larger than one with a decimal point. In either case, it still sounds like a very good number.

According to Andrew's signature, his PSA's have
steadily
been dropping, from 4.2, to 1.9, then 1.2, and now 1.0!
Do we notice a trend here? Yes, DOWN!
Congrats from one radiation guy to another!

Great news. Andrew's original post had said it went from .2 to 1. Obviously it should have read from 1.2 to 1, and I feel much better now. Congratulations, Andrew.

InTheShop-
Great news! Mine took 2 1/2 yrs to get below 1. Some reports say a slow decline is better.

Thanks for all the kind words.
I've done a lot of second guessing over the last year about
the treatment I chose but looks like it's working out.
SEs are tolerable so I am mostly happy.
I've got a big project out in my back yard that I've started. Yup, I am going to build a deck. But it's only going to be a about
a foot off the ground so if I fall off it I won't get hurt too bad...
all the best,
Andrew

clocknut , reread initial post, he said 1.0 was .2 down from last test. pure and simple. Meaning it dropped .2 from last test. the only way you can read it, is to read it carefully. We all do it, but I have seen a lot of misreads followed by advice on misreads and nobody is catching them, lately. Just saying! Its frustrating me to the point , I am considering totally by passing the thread it happens on. Not talking stink, just making an observation and relieving myself of the frustration from that observation. There are many ways to say the same thing. sometimes we see what we expect to see because it has always been presented a certain way and when it isn't, we by habit see it the way we are used to. Trust me Ive seen this happen lots of time prior to retirement. Once with fatal results, ok, Logo... Time for a weekend break, surf, watch golf, go to a nice sunday champagne brunch and watch the palm trees hula.

Logo,
"Love is my religion, I could die for it". I used to love Byron, but I'm going to check Keats out closer.
