Catti, years and years ago my husband and I were on a cruise to Bermuda out of NYC. We met 3 lovely couples: 1 from Long Island, 1 from Kansas City, and the other from West Virginia. The couple from WV were newlyweds - very young and too beautiful! I thought their accent was lovely, and told them I loved hearing them speak. They said to me "we like your accent to...where are you from?" I answered "what accent, and I'm from The Bronx/NYC". When I get riled up, my Bronx comes out big time and I can get "down and dirty" with the rest of them. I grew up in the South Bronx in a low income housing project. Guess the old saying is true: you can take the girl out of The Bronx but ya can't take The Bronx out of the girl.

This pomegranate thread has morphed into a broccoli war zone; so, i will go along. I like broccoli, raw, cooked -- actually I like most all the vegetables. In the islands we got some more exotic stuff like fern shoots and huge edible hibiscus leaves that get boiled and consumed. A word on tomatoes -- it is the cooking process that makes the anti-oxident lycopene more available so its good to mix it up from time to time, raw and cooked.

Back to the topic, I do 8 oz. of pom juice daily. Am thinking of converting to the Pom Pills which would be a slight savings. Anyone have an internet source for the cheapest POM brand pills? There are lots of "off brand" pomegranate extract pills that I have found for cheap but I figured I'll go with the POM brand pill since I'm already drinking their juice.
