This seems odd to me, I am brand new to this, my husband was diagnosed in December 2012 and I just learned of this forum. I am grateful to have others to confide in, but I dont know if I agree with this writing about
my feelings to other men to be validated. With everything that my husband and I have been through in the past 6 months, I dont feel the need or desire to leave him so I can "refresh" or to ask for new "boobs" ( especially if he is having problems sexually SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!). It hasn't taken THAT much out of me. He really has only needed time to handle his depression and feelings about
having an incurable illness and needed me to pick up the slack on a small amount of extra chores, bill paying etc ........ "our journey", you seem a tad selfish if you ask me. I dont know how you could be "burned out" in such a short period of time. I would like to ask, what exactly are you doing when you say you are "CAREGIVING" ?? Its not like he is laid up in a hospital bed in your livingroom or anything, right? Are you Changing Zildjians diapers? Wiping him? Showering him? Feeding him?? Because I am doing those things for my Quadriplegic 22 year old daughter aas well as CARING for her newly diagnosed father. Just because you live in the same home doesnt mean you are a "caregiver". So, can you seriously list what you do for Zildjian? Because this seems like you may be taking this trip because you WANT a vacation. A vacation without Zildjian. If thats the case, just say so. Theres nothing wrong with that. I just hate seeing someone manipulate a forum to give her "permission."
And Punching Him EVER, let alone after Prostate surgery is a sign of a clearly unstable person!!! I mean come on!!!!! I'll pray for you both...you need it.
