Lam and Vegas

Well, I made my annual appointment to see Dr. Lam. It will be 8/5.

We will  actually be flying out to Vegas on 7/31 and return home on the 14th.

I might be doing a major poker tourney, but most of our time will be in Calif to visit our daughter. She lives in Santa Monica, very near Marina del Rey, where Dr. Lam's office is.

We are also thinking of visiting Lake Havasu. We have never been there. My stepmother lives in Palm Desert, so we hope to go there, too. We just made the plane reservations (huge differences in fares). Our plans will develop as times goes on..

Knowing your analytical personality and expertise in mathematics, I would never want to go up against you in a poker tournament. I'm sure that you are a very fine player, so long as you're able to keep a poker face.

Hope that you have a good trip in every respect.

Palm Desert in August? You have to be crazy. I live there and won't go near the place from May to late Oct. At least you can cool off in the casinos.

Santa Monica should be great this time of year and Vegas not too bad.

Yes, Palm Desert will be steaming -- but we are close with her. It will be a one-day visit.

LOL. Those can accurate predictions. We hit 110 on a Sunday I was in Chicago and enjoying 70 degree temps.

But usually August is a bit cooler than July. But we are wetter also. That's monsoon season. 105 with 90% humidity after one of those cells passes.

I like your new signature, Tony, been thinking about greatly reducing mine, not sure all the info is that pertinent anymore even in my case

World Series of Poker will be over by then. Was wondering what major tourney you had in mind. I don't like NL Holdem but forced myself to learn it as it is the predominant tourney game these days. Hope your appointment goes well.

What does NL Holdem, PLHE, NHE and o8 mean?

I may not be playing at all.

The real reason we flew into Vegas was because it was a LOT cheaper.

We might stay 1-2 nights.

We will rent a car and drive to LA

Once we get our schedule sorted out, I'll see what tourneys are available.

Sorry about the use of abbreviations.

I prefer O8 (Omaha, Hi/Lo). They usually have some good tourneys at the Orleans.
