Based on my visible tumor volume in 3T MRI imaging, and the percentages by biopsy core, at least half of my 30 cc prostate is something like 80% PCa, so tumor volume about
12 cc. Based on the values in the D'Amico paper ("Analyzing outcome-based staging for clinically localized adenocarcinoma of the prostate"), my PSA should have been about
18.7 at diagnosis. That would certainly have raised a big flag! But, it only was 5.2 PSA before the last biopsy. At age 51, it was only 1.9.
ALL of my PCa is Gleason 9, much 5+4, some 4+5, etc., so in my case it sure appears it doesn't create the normal amount of PCa per volume. Stealth cancer....
