I would like to dedicate my 1000th post to David (Purgatory) for being there for Ron and I.

I know it took me a long time to get here!  Things have gone fairly well as far as removal of the prostate with a continuing 0.01 PSA.  We are still dealing with ED.  I do visit to see how everyone is doing.   Indeed, I am so grateful I found this forum and the  "AUGUST SURGERIES" thread was started.  In the past three years I haven't seen a thread quite as wonderful as that one.  Some of those people are still here.  Thank you for all the support!

David, you have been an informative, understanding, and good friend to us.  For that, I am most grateful!  Thank you  for the information and advice.  Cancer still remains the monster in our family with my brother being very sick.  Since Bud has died, I don't seem to get here as often as in the past.  Sure do miss him!  Wishing all of you the very best as you are dealing with PCa.

Hi Aimzee,

I am so glad that you are still here, a 1000 posts later.
The August 2010 surgery group was such a help and full of such lovely people. Thank you Aimzee for being there for me at that time and through all the PSA tests since then.

You don't often start your own threads so I am pleased you started this one!

I was shocked this morning when I saw your thread. No one here has ever done that in my honor before. Glad you made your 1,000 milestone. You have always been a good contributor here at HW PC.

You and Ron have always treated me like a real friend would. Your kindness has been a comfort to me.
I am glad that you found my friendship and posts directed with you and Ron to have been helpful in return. I would do anything for you guys, you are the best.

Hoping some of Ron's other issues are settling down too, and that his pain issues are under better control as well. He has more than had his hands full at times, and I know it takes it toll on you too, as his wife.

My very best to my two good friends.

Aimzee, didn't realize you had never started a thread before, makes me feel even more honored, now you got me blushing, lol.

Hope you guys are having a good weekend, we are having a laid back mostly do nothing weekend, poor wife so wore out from work, plus she's been fighting a bad upper respiratory illness for weeks.

Thanks for your support, I know you have posted on some of my earlier threads. I haven't started any recently. It really helps to hear a woman/spouses point of view sometimes. You and the other women

Well, I do. When I was a newbie here months ago (not that I've been here all that long) you had some very kind words to say to me once after I had made a few posts. That was so very nice of you, thank you.

That's how it works best here at HW. A regular member will reach out that first time to a new member, and make them feel welcome and part of the HW family. They in return, do the same thing to other new members, and the circle completes.

I remember my first few posts from nearly 5 years ago, and the kindness and support shown toward me is still clear in my mind. Had it not been that way, I may have made a one time visit here and never had come back.

This time last year i was started my SRT.It was David's post (warnings) which made me not to go ahead blindfolded to that dreadful machine with a dry bladder.I drank 1/2 liter of water before every
session.my doctor was reluctant , but it worked for me having no SE at all.Thanks David.

thank you for that. I suffer every single day because of that one mistake my radiation doctor made, and that was 3 1/2 years ago. I am glad that my case and my warning directly helped you from making a possible mistake. from looking at your stats, you are doing very well, and that makes me happy.

I like it, when I see where SRT does work for someone. With your post readings, looks to me like the cancer was there, and found and hit the target. In my case, I don't believe there was ever any cancer in the prostate bed, it had long escaped before.

Hope you continue to do so well. I enjoy other people's happy endings, even if its not working that way for me. Love seeing people beat this cancer.
