I had my colonoscopy last week and I had no polyps (good news), but what was even better news was my doctor could not find any damage from my radiation. I have had 169 Gy's of radiation from my two treatment plans. I applaud my URO & RO for doing a great job and pinpointing the Gy's to my cancer and not my good tissue.

Great news Dave.  my fears and results were the same.  the doctor said he would see me in 10 years cool !

Dave happy for you! I will have to have one in about six months if the doctor's okay it. I would love to see what it looks like inside after brachytherapy.

Glad to know it went well--I have heard from some folks that extra care needs to be taken following radiation, but it sounds like yours went off without a hitch. I'm on the 3-year plan myself as I have a family history of colon cancer and several polyps were found in my very first colonoscopy. I've been a bit worried, but feel better knowing that yours went so well.

I'm glad that neither of you had any bad effects from your colonoscopys..I'm a 3-year man with 3 polyps found each time. The last colonscopy after my IMRT was a disaster. Blood everywhere and my wife wanted me to go to the ER after getting out of the car--70 mile trip. I talked to the dr that did the procedure and he said he remembered the radiation proctitis so I called the RO--Go to the emergency room--Bull..
I didn't bleed to death over the weekend and couldn't figure out how they were going to put a bandage on it--lol..It sort of resolved itself--sure--but the effects will last me for awhile..

Great news indeed!

I've only had one of those colonoscopy things, pre-PC.  Asked for light sedation (so I could go home sooner) and was up on one elbow watching the screen with the doc.  If you were "out," you missed the show!  =o)

Always happy to hear when things with PCa'ers go right!

I've had three of those. Never any fun.
Glad you got through and don't have to go back for a long time.

I got the all clear last summer and a pass for 10 years.

I love reading good reports like this.
