I have been on something of a supplement strike for at least 6-months now ... that is, Centrum Silver + Krill Oil! Just kind of got tired of meds after the PCa and COPD required daily meds. Will be seeing my Onco in two days for a couple of tests - and will ask him his opinion on supplements!
By the way ...... shortly after my Mother was admitted to an Assisted Living Home for Dimentia last September, her new doctor took her off of multi-vitamins ...... hmmmmm! And a few months later, off of the Namenda. His opinion - the Home she is in cooks fresh vegetables (never canned), and there is such a thing as wasted medication!

Casodex - briefly in 2011
Lupron - after Casodex - from 2011 to present
Zytiga - Feb 2012 thru Jul 2012 - steadily increasing PSA
Predisone - 5mg x 2 daily from 2012 to once daily current
Xgeva - monthly injections from August 2012 to current
Taxotere - August 2012 into April 2013 - 11 sessions
Taxotere progress - PSA from 54+ at start - down to 12+ in April
No chemo for 2+ months - to mid-june 2013 - PSA up to 23+
Xtandi - started late June ....... to ????
It does suck, doesn't it! But ... thank God, very little pain ... and hopes that Xtandi works in bringing down the PSA.
Darn ....... forgot to mention vitamins in my list!!!
