Lost my less than sign. Boo!

Got the results today. 0.1 no less than this time. I asked if it was the same lab. It was. My Dr told me not to concern myself with it. Six months since surgery. Wasn't what I wanted to hear

It's not time to panic. Wait for the next test. If your less than sign doesn't come back, you'll have permission to freak out. It could just be a bad day at the lab and a retest is in order.

but you may want to ask for a three month retest, just in case.

Hang in there, you're doing good so far.

What happened to your signature, It helps us help you. you know the post op pathology…. and confirm it was your doctor and not nurse who said not to concern yourself. Heck I would even check the lab my self or have doctor check the lab itself. Nurses forget to tell you the less part routinely. Labs are prone to mistakes in writing it up correctly. T0 go from a <0.1 to exactly a 0.1 is suspicious,but not impossible. I'd be more supportive of the medical system in this if it was a 0.11 or higher Just my take

I had another test pulled today. Hopefully it was a mistake. I kinda doubt it. I should know something tomorrow

Hey Chief,

You may want to pull up your signature block and edit the dates for your post-surgery PSA tests to 2013.

Trust your re-test will put your mind at ease. Too early and too little data to start the worry dance.

Just got some news from the dr office. Back in the undetectable. Maybe the other test was a fluke. I dunno. Actually I don't really give a ****! I am happy right now!!

That is a good update, Chief! Relax and enjoy the news as you have a positive track record going.

I have heard it said that worry is "interest paid in advance on a debt that never comes due."

If something comes up down the road, you will have a chance to address it then. If not, no need to go through the mental and emotional trauma for 90 days.

Some of the labs will mail you your results if you ask, and others tell you you have to get them from your urologist/oncologist who ordered the labs.

Even then, have the doctor give you a print out rather than just deliver it verbally.

Glad you regained your admission the < club.
