First of all Welcome and it sucks you have to be here. Your pre and post ops were just like mine. Breathe and relax a bit as this silly disease seems to be a strange road.

Yes, you will have to ask your urologist for a copy of your post-op pathology. When you get it you may find it difficult reading. They are all written by specially trained Gibberian doctors who speak a language all their own. We are fortunate to have several guys here who speak a little medical gibberish and they can usually help translate.

Thanks people, I called and will pick up a copy prepared by my ur doc/ surgeon tomorrow. Question its been a little more than 3 weeks since my RP should the boys still feel like they were used as a punching bag?

My surgeons nurse told me that if my scrotum turned purple and swelled to three times its normal size that was a sign that I was on my feet too much and should spend more time in the recliner.

You should ask you surgeon's nurse the same thing so she can give you the same answer. It's part of the package deal you get with surgery.

Let me be clear that you shouldn't spend all your time in the recliner. You need to get out and walk. Walk, walk, walk. But when you aren't walking try to get more or less horizontal to let the swelling go down. Recline when you aren't walking and walk when you aren't reclining.

Welcome to HW. Sorry you have to be here but pull up a chair and stay for awhile. Oh, BTW, please tell your family that mowing is not GFMPH. Now, playing pool and having fun with the guys -- that is definitely GFMPH. There is a whole group here that will ease you into the world of prostate excuses...

Welcome aboard the PCa wagon. Lifting will cause the little guys to not only swell, hurt, but continued lifting will make them even worse. You have a hall pass and use it while you recover. Your body will need months from the invasion that took place during surgery.

Let others do the lifting and the hard work while you recover. There is always plenty of time to return favors and to pay it forward once you have healed. My UO said before and after surgery, the best way to prolong recovery is to rush it. Every has their own unique time frame. Give the boys downstairs a two or three month vacation.

Best wishes with your recover and better yet with your battle on this miserable disease.
