Well, tomorrow is the day. Time flys when we're having fun. But it's already time for my next psa and t level blood work and bull session with my uro. Appointment is tomorrow afternoon at 1:15 pm. I'm a little anxious but not as much as the last time. I figure there is nothing I can do about
it anyway, and eventually we all croak of something, so, I'm trying to adopt Sonny's motto....."every day's a bonus".
So aside from that, it's been a hot summer, and it looks like there's a storm brewing in the gulf. We're keeping an eye on that.
Man, I am sure ready for some cooler weather. Hot weather didn't used to bother me so much, but this year has been different. So I've been staying closer to the AC and finding things to do inside.
Hope everyone is doing well.

K, good luck with the 3 month PSA test. Just good mine back a few days ago and all is still good. Heat has broken in New Endland and the weather is fablulous. Warn day days and cool nights. Hope you heat wave breaks soon. BB

good luck, kbota, my friend.
we have the opposite here in western SC. it's been one of the coolest summers on record here, and absolutely the wettest. we are already 20" above normal for rain for the year. 9 out of 10 the past weekends, it has rained, not been a fun summer.

You guys need to come out to Northern Cal for awhile. Mild temps, no rain and tons-o-fun.
:)

Hello Gentlemen. Looks like I am the young pup on this thread! I am new to the message board posts, but feel the need to communicate with people of my "kind". Most guys (and especially my age!) Don't have a clue what I am talking about
, and are in general very nervous talking about
something that may ultimately happen to them. I am going in for my next 3 month appt. next week. I am 10 months pos-op, and the PSA taken from my workplace health fair was a 0.05. This is higher than my last 3 month PSA from the doctor's officd (0.01). They say nothing to worry about
, but it is still bothersome. Anyway, trying to keep positive, and will try to become an active member of this group!
Age: 43
PSA 8.0 7/31/12
3 of 12 cores positive
Radical Prostatectomy via DaVinci on 10/4/12 - margins clear
Gleason Score 4+4
1st Post OP PSA 0.00
2nd Post OP PSA 0.01
No post operative side effects.

Madchemist,
Welcome. I would not worry about
it. You can get variance from one testing
location to another. Sometimes significant variance.
Again Welcome. You might start a new thread and introduce yourself with the "Post New Topic". You'll find more peers in your age group.

kbota,
Good to see you again. Are you getting another shot as well?

Hey Tony. Nope, my last Lupron shot was in April, 2012. But I'm still experiencing the occasional hot flash. Uro says its not due to T levels which were aprox 400 back in May. Family doc tested thyroid which was normal.
Oh well. Some things are not easily explainable.

Madchemist;
check the workplace psa to see if it wasn't listed as <.05, which is very different from .05. My guess is that it is <.05, and that's probably the lower limit of the particular lab test that was performed. I also suspect that you are fine.
My uro advised me to refrain from having other psa tests done as it only leads to confusion and anxiety. He was correct.

Good Luck Kbota!
We're in Houston (MD Anderson) and it was 106 degrees yesterday! Ready to start traveling north!
