any update to labcorp

I am a new user of this forum and read a previous thread
regarding labcorp's ambiguity regarding their PSA ultra sensitive
test. I just received my second "<.015" reading for this
PSA ultra sensitive test and was confused as what this really implies.
For Labcorp currently, what result for this test translates as "undetectable "?
If not "<0.015" , then what is the point of the "<" symbol?

Any updated information would be appreciated?

I use Labcorp as well. <.015 is considered undetectable. You would think that carrying it out to 3 decimal places to the right that they would be sensitive to show down to <.001 but this is not the case. For Labcorp, you can't go any lower than <.015 so congrats.

Ultrasensitive tests are debatable whether they are more trouble than they are worth. You might want to start another thread and tell us about yourself and your story. Again, welcome..

It also depends on the lab within LabCorp which does the test. I have to use LabCorp for some tests, and the "less than" value that constitutes "undetectable" is different for their different facilities. For another doc I have to use Quest, and their value is again different.

That is why my uro will only use Bostwick, and will not authorize ultrasensitive. My GP & oncologist will order ultrasensitive, but with the different labs, the numbers are always different and to be examined in context of the location.
