OK, time to start a new thread and open up a place to post your upcoming test plans and results, for October.

I will have a full battery of blood tests in 3+ weeks. Needless to say, that will soon be stressful. I am on HT and I hope the PSA will continue to behave. Additionally, I will be resuming Casodex in 2 days. We had to stop it due to elevated liver enzymes. They returned to normal. So, we will give it another shot and the liver tests will be part of the aforementioned October tests.

I will have one blood test in 2-3 weeks when I return from Italy. Not stressed at all yet. Perhaps a bad sign given my level of stress for previous tests and how well I scored on those. Not sure why my stress level is low this time (so far). I have made a conscious decision to spend less time on board leading up to test so as to avoid focusing too much on it or reading topics/views that can bring up the dark side of this whole process.

David -- my stress was low this time too even tho I didn't necessarily feel the news would be good.

Just got my results earlier this week.  I am holding steady at .06.  Please note my PSA history in my signature. 

So in my eyes, I'm neither truly undetectable nor above the accepted detectable threshold of .1.  I'm stuck in limbo.  Sucks having to live life in three month increments, not knowing if or when I might have a recurrence underway.

I have my 3 month routine PSA next Wednesday and later in the month I have to go to my surgeon Dr. Patel's office to have another test. I am in a research study that is trying to detect early chances of recurrence in patients who had surgery. It will be the third test out of 3 they want to take on me.

My next PSA test is in December. How far in advance am I allowed to start stressing about it?

will have 6-month PSA later in the month (not yet scheduled, around the 20 th). have had 2 full years of zeros, and this month could be 2 1/2 years of zero after my SRT. won't start stressing over it until about a week before. hoping for good news for EVERYONE

Got mine on October 1st PSA=0.2 ... percolated up out of the zero club and across the 'trip line' the doctor had set.

Cancer Center Dr wants me to retest. The Fellow said that i could do that at my next appointment in January; after a few lessons from me on how doubling time would work in three months, he agreed that next week would be fine. Thanks to HW i have brothers who have been through this and I know better.

I seem to do this regularly. My next test will be at the end opf October but is the furthest thing from my mind.

I have an eye condition that is treated by injections in the eye. Yesterday my doc changed protocol to a new treatment that requires two shots! so this year i have had seven eyeball shots. Stressful.

And, the last three weeks I have been hobbled by a bad knee. MRI, xrays and a consult with my orthapedic surgeon today reveals significant cartilege tears and separation and a torn ligament. Surgery is scheduled for next Thursday.

What PSA??? about the least important thing on my mind today.

I had blood drawn last week for my first post-surgery PSA and testosterone - will get the results next week. :)

And my testosterone for the last 6+ months is back to normal...I signed up for a summer vacation from HT, but I'm all for extending the vacation...I see Myers in a few weeks and I'm sure he'll tell me what the plan is....

I had the full battery on October 2nd. Everything is normal and my psa dropped another 85% to 1.06. I am almost in the zero club again. I get all the tests again on October 28th. Todd

Charlie had his first PSA on Wed since starting hormone therapy (casodex followed by Lupron injection on 8/6) and it was down from 292 in June to 70! turn turn turn turn turn

PSA test scheduled for of Oct. 21st. Just a little stress, looking for the trend to flatten out.

I was having my PSA tested every month for a while to try and pick up the trend quickly.....I am glad I did that but now after being convinced it was stable I decided to go back to testing every 3 months......

Tomorrow my 3 month wait is over and I will see what happens.

Remember everyone....hydrate yourself well before every test so it has a chance to be more accurate.

Fishsticks....the PSA test is very sensitive to your hydration level and can easily swing enough to bring concern.

Make sure you drink lots of water the day before and keep yourself well hydrated for the test....the lower your hydration level, the higher your PSA....

When I figured that out....it helped me a lot on why my PSA was not very consistent...up and down...down and up...etc..
