I asked my uro/surgeon that same exact question yesterday. He said it was mainly because I had an extracapsular extension which required wider resection on the right side to make sure any possible
"leakage" of cancer cells would be removed with the extra tissue removal. He said it appears it was successful, and I thanked him again profusely. Jokingly, he said "You're lucky to have a great surgeon". I agreed. He had already performed 900 DaVincis when he did mine.
