FYI - Bronson's mom passed away (after his first of 7 weeks radiation)

My prayers are with you today.
When I was dx'd my mom had fallen and badly broke her leg. She was bed ridden for three months. The stress of surgery and worrying about her and my dad was a lot to handle.

Thank you all for your kindness and consideration and condolences.
A friend of mine reminded me last night that it was ok to take my time to grieve - I acknowledge Mom's passing but with so much on my plate I guess I put it on reserve so I can afford to focus on it one-on-one to give Mom the respect she deserves.
Thank you for "holding my hand" during this part of the journey.

Thank you Sephie - it was great meeting you and John ( Mr. Sephie? - or did we come up with another name?) at GFMPH Rochester.

I am coping well at end of week two - some incontinence and B.M. stuff - so regulating food and fluids and trying to reduce stress. A little muddled in the thought process but trying to stay focused.

Starting on week three painting - drawing it up... don't have a vision of it yet... too early to do a "jackson pollack" riff on it due to incontinence... would be fun though

Dear Alison and hubbie - wish you both all the best during the next 7 weeks ( eek ! - that does seem like a long time doesn't it) - hopefully your doctors told you what to eat and what to avoid during radiation ( avoid antioxidants like C and E and some supplements that reduce the effectiveness of the radiation treatments).

- a good dietary / info pamphlet is available at Prince Margaret Hospital website ( I refer to this often)
