Powerful post, Todd. Thanks for writing what you do; you give eloquent voice to things we find difficult to express. Many friends may have sympathy, those here have empathy. And that is a heart-felt difference.

Todd.Your blog was appreciated once again. I often search HW for info, but more often for inspiration and uplifting stories. You are right, many of us are in this same boat. But we need to remain strong and have the faith to walk on raging waters(as HE did) Many here are my source of strength, and I truly empathize with all. Great that you have met other members and will soon be seeing meeting more in person, already you have touched the lives of countless others. open invitation whenever you might make it to Southern California, we are just 65 miles east of Disneyland! Our town gets and appreciates a lot of snowbird visitors. Hey, were you two playing "Wood and Wire" on your guitars? "Talk" to you again here on HW soon! Also sounds like you and Mandy had a great time last weekend. We are very envious.

Todd you are an inspiration as is Tony C. It is a shame we had to meet here on HW and that we had to experience PCa to arrive at new and long lasting friendships. Your writing is poignant and you write for all of us since we all have the same feelings, just at different times thank goodness so there are always some to lift us up when we need it.

I like the picture of both of your with your guitars. Now we just need to add an audio clip to go along with the pic of the songs that you played.

Keep on playing, camping, sunset walks on the beach and enjoying every bonus minute that you and I have been blessed with. '

Devasted you may or may not have noticed that Todd and I are brothers from a different mother.

Thank you for the kind words and further proving Todd's post. I feel the same way as Todd writes in that the caring folks here are truly the motivation that we've needed along the way. We talked about it in his living room that night and I know all the time how much it's helped him and me alike to have friends and people who care around us. Family is always important, but they are seldom able to deliver the encouraging uplifts we all need from time to time.

Todd,

You are spot on with your posts.  We are all brothers and sisters in that we all face the same inevitable end.  Dying is easy--it takes no talent or effort.  Living is what requires work and diligence.  My grandfather used to say, "Get busy living or get busy dying".  It is obvious to me that you know how to live.  I am truly humbled by your posts and your attitude in the face of adversity that I can only imagine.  Thanks for sharing your journey with all of us.

I didn't bring any of my guitars so yes both of the instruments are Todds.

The signatures on that guitar are from Dendreon (Provenge) employees and the guitar was presented to Todd by Dendreon at one of his speaking engagements (with I understand lots of warm tears). The guitar is covered with signatures on both sides. It was a great gesture and an honor to play it with Todd.
