it's not about
PCa, it's about
cancer, relationships, love and tragedy.
I'm glad I'm the one who got cancer in my house.

That is powerful. No words were needed. I agree with you David, it much easier being the one with the cancer. I can't even imagine what our spouses, partners, friends go through when we are so sick from treatments.
Let us all pray for our caregivers!

Absolutely gripping and in its tragic reminder of life and death, a faint, but sure light does permeates thru the darkness to the receiving eye.

My husband's wife died in 2005 after an 11 year battle with breast and ovarian cancer. She was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer on her 5 year anniversary surviving breast cancer. He told me the story of shaving her head like this man did. His words to her were "you are beautiful to me whether you have hair or not".
Cancer just sucks.

David, thanks for sharing!!
I pray everyday that no one in my family or anyone else gets cancer. At this point in my journey, I can't even fathom what our spouses, go through when we are so sick from treatments all the test and everyday living.

and the kids, Grandpa...
My sister-in-law passed of breast cancer two years ago and we are still monitoring my nephew and nieceand how they are adapting to such a crushing and sad event.
I'm going through it with my mother, and although infinitely more "acceptable" that going through it with a child or spouse it still represents a terribly raw deal.
I told my kids when I got cancer. Not sure I did the right thing. Luckily they seem to have moved on nicely.

Thanks for posting. It's a powerful reminder.
This morning at church it was announced that one of our long time members had just died from melanoma.
She was DX just six months ago. They tried a few things but it was resistant to everything. She entered hospice just 4 weeks ago.
That cancer sucks is an understatement.
All of those who suffer with and have been touched by cancer are in my thoughts and prayers today.
Peace,
Andrew
