I have an oncologist that is proposing alternating lupron shots, like 3 months on and 3 months off.
or 1 month on and 1 month off? I have heard of intermittent but not this approach.
And I am aware of an arkansas patient that has been on inter for over 15 years. It seems to extend the time lupron is effective and gives the patient a much needed break and normalcy for a period.
after radiation my psa has been .072 to .034 , Is this the effectiveness of the radiation or the lupron?
I also heard that the effectiveness of the radiation to effect a cure can't be measured while on lupron. And what guarantee is there that labs can measure at that low a decimal point? My next psa is due may 5th. My GP measures my T and it is 32.48. I might mention a great difficulty to get a doctor to talk to me post radiation. and there are no radiation oncologists in this area. Most patients here in texarkana go to little rock, 4 hours, or Houston 7 hours. I might mention, severe all night hot spells, (no flash here) lack of sleep (zombie) and 1.6 on the white cells.
