I really like it when I get to reuse that forum topic
Just once, though, I'd like a visit that doesn't involve a DRE.

With apologies to Gertrude Stein, "A zero is a zero is a zero."

I'm always happy to hear that someone else is beating the crap out of this disease, especially at this time of the year. Congratulations!!
All the best to you down the road.

Congratulations on continuing as a "0". Somehow in my brief education on post-surgery testing, I've missed the one that may involve a DRE. I've read your stats/history but pardon what might be construed as my ignorance, but if one no longer has a prostate, why would a uro still do a DRE? I thought those days would be over. Please advise!

They tell me they are checking for scar tissue, abnormal growths, whatever with the DREs.
I'm just glad I'm not the guy they had to learn on. Can you imagine?
"Sir, you have an interesting nodule on your prostate.
We have a class of medical students we'd like to have feel it so they know what that one feels like.
No, don't worry, we won't add the cost of the gloves to your bill.
That barrel on the hand truck? Just a little extra lube. Also, no charge."

Congrats on another Zeroooooo!
Regarding the DRE, it reminds me of those days I reach in my mailbox before the mailman has arrived and there isn't anything there.

Congrats! I had blood drawn for my second post RP PSA. I have a week to wait and stew the results but I gain comfort from your results. May you have many more.
