It's good that you have spoken to your surgeon and have a plan of sorts. It seems your surgeon is interested and concerned and that is a big positive to have a medical person of his calibre on your side.
I think though that his expertise and experience is likely not to be of great use to you from this point on. He has cut out your prostate and has given you some ideas on what to do next and who to see. I think that as he says, there is no need to panic but it is prudent to gather your documents, get more PSA tests done, educate yourself and seek answers on who would be the best oncologist for you should you need one. The last four words of my sentence are important because an unexpected rise followed by an unexpected and sustained fall has happened here in this forum before.
