Sherry says that when we exceed 50 folks showing up it is no longer a gathering. IT BECOMES A FULL ON CONVENTION. Next step would be powder blue fez hats, mini-scooters and riding in the town holiday parades.

Hey this could be a GFMPH WOODSTOCK!!!! We won't know until the weekend how many show up.
Hope it doesn't rain, No rain! No rain! No rain!

By the way, I live in Florida and sink holes are usually only in Central Florida, smhair oops, Titusville is in Central Florida. I am going to tie a rope around my waist and the other end attach it to my car parked across the street from Sonny's house.

Wow, you guys are goin' seriously crazy with this thing! Sounds like it's gonna be big time fun!

Unfortunately, I'm not gonna be able to make this one. Work schedules just make the spring events too difficult. I'm really sorry to report this news. I had my speedos ready and everything, but it is not to be.

Y'all have fun and try not to create a sinkhole or anything. Hope to see most of you in September, and if you think of it, make one of those Scotch toasts to the ol' Jazzman.

We are Jazzed this morning. Flights have been booked! I guess we will have to pack extra decorations to put on Steve's Corvette for the parade! Ms Sherry you will need to get you a ball gown to ride on the back of the car. Get to practicing with that parade wave. :)

My wife wants to drive her Mazda Miata convertible to Sonny and Sherry's so we will be in the parade.
Sonny you might consider inviting your neighbors so they don't feel left out of the fun. If not, they may complain about the noise.

Sonny, I was just thinking.

I know you are a long time Southerner, and when you say, "You all come back, now!" Best be careful what you ask for, lol. Your event may make the news in Titusville, your neighbors will probably want to know what mega star or event is going on at your house. Wonder if the police will have to be involved to control the crowds.

Totally amazed, but hardly surprised, that the first FL GFMPH event is shaping up to be the event of the year.

Can't wait to be there. Having lived in both Cape Canaveral and Merritt Island, you are living close to some of my old stomping grounds.

Is the Kennedy Space Center in Titusville still open as usual to the public? Haven't been there for years, would love to see it again.. In the back roads there, you use to be able to drive all over the place, and remember all the eagle nests you could see.

Perhaps, instead of all renting cars, the airport rental contingent should pool their money and rent a bus to shuttle from the hotel to Sonny's place.

Merry Christmas everyone.

I have received a few emails in the last few days and we now stand at 57 possible attendees. I know that 17 will be staying at my house, which leaves 40 for the hotel accommodations.

The hotel currently has a block of 20 rooms for us, but I will be calling them in the morning to see if I can increase it to 25 for safety sake.

If you know for sure that you are coming, you need to call them and confirm a reservation. There is little/no risk in making that reservation. It would be a shame not to confirm the room while we have them blocked out and then find that you either can't find a room or that you have to pay that jacked up, prime time, bike week, spring break, snowbird rate.

I will be re-sending the email to everyone about the hotels. Some of you will have already received it, but it is easier to just send a group email after adding the new folks, to make sure I don't miss anyone.

I hope that all of you are having a great holiday with your families.

BTW, the new pool has water and is up and running. The 1700 sq ft screen enclosure is just a few hours and final details from being complete. Some of the family (those visiting from Boston) have already been in the pool today to celebrate Christmas.

It is going to be a great GFMPH for everyone in March and especially those coming down from the cold and snowy north.

Sorry if I missed it, but, I didn't see the address of the Marriott Hotel. We now may travel to RI in the last of May, so looks 100% that we'll be coming. When I receive the address, I'll make our reservations.

Roger, Steve and Dave, thanks for letting me know about reservations. I appreciate your confirming your being here. With this many folks planning to attend I will have a lot of details to nail down. And even though we have about 3 months, there is a lot that will have to be done and the time seems short.

Can't wait for it to get here. The outdoor complex should be complete by Friday with final inspections and all ready to go. Next up is the outdoor fire pit area. Campfires in the evening at the gatherings are always a great way to end the day with lots of good relaxed conversations.
