Has anyone just walked in to a Lab to get PSA check to cut our the stress?

I am in Wichita on business and have my first 6 month post HT test at Dattoli on 1/21/14.  Dattoli sends his lab stuff out on me and it takes a week.  I am very anxious and have time to walk into LABCORP lab as an old drinker that has been sober 18 years I am really getting close.....

Anyone use Labcorp?

Maybe they could have it tested at hospital? Ive had this done before and the results were available the next day. Not sure this is an option for you but I totally understand how you feel. Wishing you a great result.

I have to use LabCorp because of company insurance. I was told that I have to have the doc send in an order. That may be due to insurance, don't know, never asked, I just get the doc to do the order.

It takes a week to get results back at my location.

When we did screenings, there was a doc from our hospital sponsor who signed the orders.

I use an online company called direct labs who writes the script for labcorp. You just print off the req and hand it to person at labcorp. I used them last week for a PSA and free PSA. I had the results available online in 1 business day. Most lab results come back in 1 or 2 days.

Because I had a high deductible on my insurance, I have done most of my labs that way for years. I would walk into my doctor's office and hand her my new labs. To me, that made a lot more sense than getting labs AFTER you saw the doctor.
