An odd subject but one I've been curious about
. Since my RALP, every once in a while it feels like static electricity is coarsing through the hairs on my scrotum. I googled around and wonder if this has something to do with nerve root compression? I have some tingling down my left leg, as well, at time and some burning in my right thigh.
Has anyone had that sensation? I was hopeful that tingling was indicative of nerve regeneration. I just had a major dose of the tingling while typing the last sentence of this post.
EDIT: I found this while googling, further... I'm encouraged by this:
As the nerves begin to grow, nerve recovery is monitored using a
Tinel’s sign. When the nerve is lightly tapped,
you will feel an “electric tingling” feeling as the
nerve regenerates.
2nd EDIT: "tingling is a sign of regeneration, or more precisely, tingling indicates young axons, in the process of growing."
--- Not sure it matters if I feel regeneration in my scrotum. I would think I need to feel it deeper inside the surgical site, and I've never felt it there.
