Welcome to the other side Redcan. Each day you will feel better than the day before. Do what they say to do. Keep drinking water and you'll be chasing the nurses around the nurse's station in no time.

Wear some loose fitting pants, those port incisions do get sore so no jeans for awhile.

Good luck with your pathology report

Welcome to the other side, Redcan. This part is fairly easy. Things hurt, sure, but you'll be so busy looking-forward to getting rid of the danm catheter that you will barely notice the pain.

I got 6 holes and you only got 5! Neener, neener, neener!

Great stuff... new life awaits...new challenges. A better guy comes out than went in.

Cathy Catheter is blue trash but you'll be rid of her before you know it.

Yours was blue? I guess the little ones are blue. Mine was sort of brown.

As they say, welcome to the other side and good luck. I am now 13 days post op. these first days went extremely fast. I can't believe how good I feel (knock on wood). No pain, just leaking. Worst part is that darn cath. I just layed low for the first week, until I got it out. Be careful when walking around. I came really close to getting it caught on a drawer pull and yanking it out. That would have been a problem
I also have 5 incisions. No pain. Any idea why you have so much pain?

Keep drinking and walking and keep the catheter clean and lubed. Sorry about the pain. I recall soreness, like I set the world sit-up record, but not real pain. Hope you got meds that help, but I think some pain meds can slow your bowels so take stool softeners, too, if you need them. It's amazing how different things seem to turn out for us.
We're all cheering for you as the cath comes out and you get the pathology report. Ask any questions. Most of us here are pretty grateful to this board for alleviating much of the uncertainty and try to pay it forward to new members. Welcome to the other side!

Like the others said walking does help but this was difficult for me. Fight through it best you can.

As far as the little caths being blue I hope you arent laughing as hard as me over that because it is sure to cause some abdominal pain.

Mine was red and as far as Im concerned it came from the equestrian Dept. And I also have 6 holes...whats up with that?

Redcan, things will improve quickly once the catheter comes out. In the meantime, walk as much as you can and take pain meds if you need them (I did ).

Good luck, Redcan. Hopefully it will be all improvements from this point. Get that cath out, and hopefully have a clean pathology report.

Welcome to the other side. Things will get better. But remember that as a patient YOU must be patient also. I am eight weeks post op and generally doing well. My problem is sometimes I over do it.

I am on day 9 post davinci. Tomorrow s the big day when doc pulls the catheter.. Thank god or whatever higher power there is that deals with tubes up your Johnson.

Hang in there redcan. Wash wash wash Your hands and rinse out the cath bags twice a day. Get one of those rubber donuts to sit on as the last couple of days have been tender.

Tomorrow i start the depends and the kegels.
