BLOCKED MALLIOUS ACTIVITY

This is off topic for HW:

I have 3 times had Norton blocking mallious activity while surfing HW!

Has anyone else encountered this?????

I haven't but it's likely due to the ads that are displayed.

I have Norton 360 also and haven't encountered any blocking.

I look at this forum from work on my lunch break sometimes. Every time I log into it I get a dialog box about some virus problem, like a hoax to get you to click the ok button. I always close the box with the x in the corner, and then come back into the forum. It only happens the first time during an Internet Explorer session.

I never see that on my home PCs.

Up until last week, I was constantly getting blocked ads from this site using Internet Explorer 10. I would not have any problems if I used Google Chrome.

Last week I upgraded to Internet Explorer 11 and have not experienced any issues since. Maybe IE11 handles advertisements different than IE10 did.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials.

This just started happening within this last week.
I do use IE to browse. I know my version of windows is due to be obsolete in April. Perhaps that could be why this is happening.
