Seems like there are strong opinions on the topic. While the author of this editorial
seems to have his own agenda (he wrote a diet book), it appears that this isn't a treatment that one should start without a very good reason. Some here may have a good reason.
In women, estrogen supplementation increases risk of heart attack and breast cancer, and it was used for 30 years before this was proven by adequate studies. It might take a while to settle the issue of the safety of these testosterone supplementation.
