Anastomosis Stitches?

Hey there
I had RALP done on 11/11/2014 and still leak a little. Mostly stress incontinence... Over the last few weeks I've felt some pinpricks when sitting down where I think the Anastomisis is. When I feel it more I seem to leak a little more. Yesterday was surprising as I wiped out two pads in one day, most days I'll have some light spotting.

This is what's driving this topic. I could tell yesterday I was a little dehydrated so I upped my water intake. This results in me waking up in the middle of the night for a pee run and last night was no different. When I went last night there was a half second hesitation before anything happened and then it felt like I peed out a ball and there appeared to be some discoloration at the beginning of the stream, rust colored. Where I think the Anastomosis is feels a little different this morning but in a good way. And the leaking seems to have stopped, I am headed to the gym in a bit to really see if its better. A stitch?

Anyone else feel or experience this?

I had my daVinci robotic surgery the same day as yours 11/11/13. I too have felt the little pinpricks lately, both in the lower abdomen and about where the anastomosis is located. From what I have read this is about the time the stitches start to dissolve or come loose.

I peed through a tea strainer for a couple of weeks and documented several bits of suture coming loose and washing out. My theory is that they are not particularly uncomfortable until the absorption process opens the loop and then the remaining bits spring open and poke you until they come loose completely. It seemed like I was always a bit leakier and more uncomfortable right before I found a bit of suture in my strainer.

I am also seeing some sutures poking through my skin around the incisions as well. They itch a little but no other issues. I assume the same thing is happening inside as well
