is trimix something that if you agree to use , you are throwing
in the towel or is it to get you through until you can be on your own again someday ?
I know people will say it depends , but if you are reasonable certain your ok but don't want to wait
can you get addicted , and ruin chances that you can go naturally again someday ?

You are way to early in the healing process to be thinking that you are throwing in the towel. Use BiMix or Trimix as an aid in jumpstarting things. In my case, I had 100% ED for over 1 year and I started using BiMix at the 6 month mark post surgery. It took over 1.5 years, but I finally got my natural erection ability back and I credit the Bimix injections for helping. I am now 61 and 2.5 years after surgery, I am basically just as I was prior to surgery. Two years ago, I would have bet my life that my sex life was over for good. But remember, for most of us, it may take a year or longer for Ed to resolve itself. Most of our doctors don't tell us that the road to ED recovery is a very long one. Don't give up.

Patience-

Your nerves need time to heal. Not much can be done to expedite that. If you have no erections during that time, your erectile tissues will atrophy and will never function again. So, during the time (which could be well over 1 year) while you wait for your natural erections to return, you must use artificial means to achieve erections to keep your erectile tissues healthy. Bimix/trimix achieves that. Viagra (or similar) might achieve that also, if you are able to get erections with it at this point.

Bottom line: Using bimix/trimix now does not mean that you are "throwing in the towel" for natural erections in the future.

I highly recommend you read Dr. Mulhall's book (linked below) on this topic. I found it VERY helpful, and only wish I had read it before surgery instead of 6 months after surgery.

So, in summary: trimix is the opposite of throwing in the towel. It lets you stay in the fight when you would otherwise be counted out. There is a real "use it or lose it" aspect to recovery -- the erectile tissues atrophy without regular erections. Normal men have erections in their sleep which keeps them OK but until your nerves heal you've got nothin happening. That's where the trimix can help.
