Today I begin month nine of Zytiga. My Psa as of yesterday is at 0.10 Twenty eight days yielded yet another 45% drop. Next month, if the trend continues I will officially be back in the zero club after a 4 year hiatus. Drinks are on me. Todd

Todd....Superb news!
Mel,
Prednisone was putting weight on Mr.WW rather quickly. After about
6 months of being on Zytiga and prednisone, the oncologist titrated the prednisone down over a 2 month period.
They later added a fluid pill.

Great news Todd ... love to hear it. Zytiga has been good for me lately too. From 3.4 to 0.35 in 3 weeks. Keep the faith and honor the warrior within.

Way to go buddy. I am so happy for you and your sweetheart of the great news and success that you are finding with Zytiga. This news has to give so many on HW hope that they can have success with Zytiga when other drugs have failed them.
You were determined to live 30 years after your Dx and by darn you are going to get there.
Cheers

Todd - let me know when you figure out that retirement thing. I've been looking at that for a few years but so far it looks like I'll have to work all 11 years till I'm 65.

I have just started Zytiga because casodex + Lupron is not working, my psa shot up from 14 to 29 in six weeks, I am now on Zytiga and am waiting a few weeks for blood test, I don't even know if this is going to work, and even if it does it may only work for a year ! ouch..
so my question is what comes after Zytiga, after it stops working???? any body have knowledge of this?
I heard it could be intravenous chemo, every three weeks... how fun is that ? what comes after that
how long can you do that? then what ?? i am trying to fugure out how long i have to live ?
i am 56 years old i would like to live and work another ten years, do you think it is possible?
thanks
jack b.
