Well, at least I sure hope it was the last one. But after the triple play of HDR brachy, IMRT and 18 months of HT I feel like I've finally made it to the finish line. Of course, I realize it's also the starting line since now is the first chance I have to see how effective this has been. But all in all, I feel very good about
where I stand and that I really threw everything but the kitchen sink at it.
I haven't been very active on this board lately as I reached a point where I didn't want to spend all of my free brain space thinking about
cancer. At the same time, I've felt a bit guilty about
this because HW has offered me so much and I've wanted to honor Yoop's theory of "paying it forward." There is no way I would have taken the path I did without the info and encouragement I received here. And the best advice of all that I received was in my very first post and I was told: "go see Dr Scholz or Dr Lam." Dr Lam proved to be the best QB for my treatment that I could ever have imagined.
BTW, I've been getting one-month Lupron shots, so technically HT ain't over yet. But I sure feel the wind to my back now.
