Saw the ONCO today for my one month check up on the clinical trial.

Starting PSA was 92.5, today's test results,

20.8

To say I am happy with this is a huge understatement. It has been about 3 years since I have seen a number this low.

I know this doesn't put me into the Zero Club, but to all of you attending the GFMPH Gathering, the first round is on me.

Can't hardly wait for month two.

Today is surely "A Great Big Bonus Day",

Sonny, after a long hard day at work, I was delighted to read your wonderful news...and it is indeed wonderful! May your next PSA reading be twice as low as this one.

Holy smolly! Congrats to you both since I know the decision was well thought out.
I was really hoping that you would get a drop in PSA but I didn't expect such a drastic one. You are the man "riverboat gunner" so go out tonight and celebrate with a bottle of wine and a good steak; heck, you can get fish or shrimp anytime.

Thank you all for your continued support. This is some of the best news I have received since I started dealing with this carp in June 2009.

While I am not looking forward to any of the SEs, at least I am given hope that this stuff may do a great job for me for a while.

Congrats Sonny. Your stats look promising. My first round with HT lasted two injections over six months... I remained undetectable for two years. Just started my second round of HT and at three months and after one injection, my PSA has already reached <0.01 and my T levels dropped to 0.4 a much faster and more drastic change in numbers. My ONCO recommended one more injection and that might be it. Keep up with the great numbers and maybe you can take an HT vacation. My thoughts are with you Sonny.

Went in for my second round. Spoke with my oncologist and the testing (various scans) was reduced to a yearly schedule to a yearly schedule. Looks like they believed it was over treatment. Let me know about side effects. Mine include a little fatigue and the dreaded ED.
