In a recent thread ("USPSTF Recommendation of NO PSA screening…") gunfighter commented: "Many of our members are members of Tony's forum ("Prostate Cancer Advocacy Forum") (
advancedpcatalk.freeforums.net) and the information provided can't be found elsewhere."
That comment got me to wondering as to just what other PCa-related sites there are on the web (and there are a bunch of them, along with PCa-based blogs, etc.) that those of us here visit on a regular basis.
Of course HW PC is still "home base" for many of us (and for me personally, where I always come first), but for many of us there are some others which we often visit to see if they have something interesting to say.
There truly is a wealth of information on the web about
our illness. Creating awareness of these sources may indeed provide some of us with resources that we were previously unaware of, and we can benefit from by going to those sites now.
And surely there should be no concern that mentioning them is inviting our members to leave for other sites. For sure there is a strong, loyal base here that will go on calling our forum here "home" no matter what.
But if anything, gaining new information and new insights from other sites actually offers the opportunity to bring and post those things here, thus increasing the informational value of our own "home" forum, HW PC.
For me this list would be (
not meant to be a suggested or inclusive list, just the ones that I myself regularly go to):
www.prostatecancerinfolink.netwww.yananow.orgwww.ustoo.orgwww.zerocancer.orgvets.yuku.comTodd's blog*
Andrew's blog* *(Well,
of course!)
And there is certainly one other PCa-related website that I would like to mention for the benefit of our forum sisters, who are probably already familiar with it, but in case they are not:
www.hisprostatecancer.comWith all this in mind, would any of the rest of you like to mention any other PCa–related sites (other than the ones mentioned above) that you think it would be advantageous for us to know about
?
