Hi Folks,
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in Dec 13 (Gleason 6, PSA 5.7) and we are going to take another look at the PSA/DRE in mid April. I suspect that given the rapid rise of my PSA over the last year I will be looking at surgery.
I am going to call TriCare but I'm sure many of you know how hard it is get a straight answer from them so I'm hoping I can get some advice.
I am a retiree so I'm TriCare Standard and the doctor(s) I saw while active (TriCare Prime Remote) are not listed as network OR out of network providers under the TriCare Standard listings.
Anyone have any experience dealing with this? Also, I live in a small town and the surgeon here has limited experience - 200 procedures in his career - so I'd like to go to the Cleveland Clinic or Johns Hopkins? Anyone been down that road with Tricare?
Thanks,
RL
PS. Like this isn't fun enough.
