One year ago today, my prostate and I parted ways.

It's hard to believe that a year has passed since my surgery. All things considered, I have much to be thankful for. (Good pathology, continence, zeroes.)

I'm hopeful that I will have a full recovery from ED at some point, but recognize that Peyronie's will be with me for life (which is a bummer, but fortunately my curvature isn't bad).

Thanks again (and again, and again) to all the great folks on HW. I hope that the help/support I provide to folks here will eventually "repay" the tremendous debt of gratitude I have to you all for the help/support you've given to me during my diagnosis/treatment/recovery.

Seems like only 6 months ago Gedman! I believe most of us will always remember our first treatment date. My 2 year anniversary will be coming up this summer.

Thanks for all you do in "Paying forward" to everyone especially the newbies.

Congrats on your first year of recovery.

You and I must have gone through this right about the same time. You sound the same as me still struggling with the ED and now Peyronies. Lots to be thankful for -- and thank you for being there when your needed.

When you think of all the things we've been through with this the thousands of hours of worry and thinking.

The hundreds of decisions, the hundreds of outcomes, it amazing we all aren't alcoholics or heading for the looney bin.  Thanks to people like you we're going to make it.

Happy 1st aniversary.  Mine is coming up in less than 2 weeks. Looks like we're following similar paths, although age wise, I've got 11 years on you.

I noticed you mentioned you suffer from Peyronies.  I'd never heard of it so I had to look it up. I'm curious if you're doctor prescribed any kind of ED medication to deal with scar tissue?  Once my catheter was removed, I was put on a daily 5mg dose of cyalis to prevent scar tissue build up.  If you weren't, it might be good info for others.

Thanks for the kind words folks. I'm glad that people find my participation on HW to be valued.

(Decisions- Cialis after surgery is to help with ED recovery (in theory), not to prevent scar/Peyronie's. For more on Peyronie's, see the link in my signature below.)

Thanks gedman for your contnued help. My one year anniversary comes up this Tuesday. Good luck with your recovery! (And still waiting on some info from doc regarding your insurance question).

And thanks to the many others who have been so helpful both before and after my surgery!! This site has been so helpful!

As for missing my prostate, can't say that I really miss it. What I do miss, however, are my seminal vesicles. Dry orgasms are still a bit odd and feel lacking, but I am grateful for my overall health!
