Folks I shall reveal some personal data. My surgical report.

The link below is to the Prostate Cancer Advocates Forum started by myself with assists from physicians and HW famous friends, Casey59, JohnT, and Tall Allen.

The reason I like this new forum engine is because I have the ability to attach files, embed video, and have smart phone interfacing and monitoring. Other great features are available there that make sharing easy. So it is my industry related information I have access to will be posted there regularly.

Todays post has a file attached. The file is my surgical report. Tim Wilson was my surgeon out of the City of Hope near Pasadena California. (Los Angeles area). I welcome anyone interested to view the report by clicking below and downloading the attached file. You will have to log in to do so but it's easy. No personal information is required. An email address must be used but you can make a new one if you wish to remain free of sharing a personal address.

My post-op pathology report is also included in the attached file. It was a scary time as things didn't look to go as planned. I had that bad day and I remember it vividly when I was told no go on the surgical results. But it wasn't the end of hope. As time wore on I was certain that these papers meant I was to be over run by prostate cancer but it was my medical team and myself that did the overrunning of prostate cancer.

Hope is a good thing.

I have also added my original biopsy pathology reports as part of this link.

It is an interesting read to see how my stage and Gleason migrated. In addition I am an example on how concerning results can still do quite well. But not at all the extreme case. Todd has proven it well beyond myself. He had a far more concerning diagnosis and yet he's a freak of nature. God bless him!

Again I encourage all newcomers to view these papers because I don't know of anyone else who has shared them to date though I am certain many have they are hard to find on the internet. Still ~ mi casa es su casa. I share willingly in hopes to better educate what to look for in your paperwork.

The software here at HealingWell does not support attachments so, technically, you can't post them here. What Tony is suggesting is that you follow the link in his signature to his new forum (not part of this site) and create a login there. That site does support attachments and you can start a thread there and attach your PDF files. Then you can post a link here to your thread on the other site where HealingWell people can view your PDF files (they will also have to join the new site to see them.)

There are several other ways to make files visible online. I have used Google Drive before.Here is a link to a graph of my daily leakage. (Currently somewhat out of date.) You can set up the file sharing so that people don't need to log into anything to view the files.

One cautionary note: If you are a retired jewel thief hiding from the law, or someone else for whom anonymity is very important, you should make sure attached documents do not reveal any personally identifying information and also should familiarize yourself with the level of anonymity afforded by the file-sharing application you use.

Bob my website is prostate cancer specific and it's a great place for those willing to openly share these types of papers. Google is not. But Peter is right, only post what are willing to share at the site. You can redact any personal information you don't want to share. I did that. But I am a very public face in the PCa community and my story is pretty well known. Still I offer the information to the community as I see it as a rare find on the internet to see these types of documents on an actual journey and thus I offer it freely. Anyone new to this can see and learn from them. And I'm all about education in PCa.

Right now I have a limitation of 1mb per file. I already pay to keep ads off of the site and I have to pay more to increase file sizes. I am considering it and just may do so this week. For now you can load 3 <1MB files per post at PCAF.

I require a login in to download. And that login requires a verified email address. You can set up an email address to verify and authenticate so that you can use the site for video feeds, files, cell phone updates etc.

Anybody can be anonymous at the site, but the email verification process allows for better "behavioral" and communications abilities between the membership. Since I allow physician interactions that is a must. But if you post like I just did a set of documents with your name on them then it is assumed you have allowed for it.

So if I register is my email address visible to everyone visiting your site? I think that's what I read in the "fine print". I'd like to see your report but I'm not ready to become public. Many sites allow one to view but not post or search.

You can open an email account at Hotmail or Gmail for free. You can then use that account to register. This way you stay anonymous. No one ever has to reveal themselves in any way at PCAF but the authentication at the site is one of the things I like at the site to help keep spammers away. Sure could use it here from time to time. Personal information is not required.

I use multiple email addresses all the time to keep my emails sorted. It also helps me keep a separation of my various activities and emails don't get lost in the mix.
