The book "Anticancer" goes over some of these ideas. It mentions turmeric, ginger, oregano, basil, parsley. (This book was anti sugar.)
The book also mentions inflammation from animal protein. Ginger, turmeric and baby aspirin may be antinflammatory .

I'm in the camp that says if it won't hurt you, what do you have to lose? I've made turmeric, oregano, rosemary, garlic, onions, saffron, hot peppers and pom a regular part of my regime.
Every morning I have a glass of either pomegranate or tomato juice with some turmeric, oregano, rosemary and black pepper (supposed to help activate the turmeric). Later in the day I have a cup of green tea with a couple of sprigs of saffron. I use garlic, onions and hot peppers for much of my cooking. I also cut down on sugar and sweets as even if sugar doesn't directly promote cancer it does have other health effects. Humans were probably designed to get our sweet sensations from fruit, not from the highly concentrated sugar content of something like soft drinks.
Who knows, maybe all of this will make little difference but it gives me a bit of feeling that I'm taking action and that is a benefit in itself.
I also just put in an order of "Healing Spices" from the library. Thanks for recommending it.
Most of those ingredients are in Zyflamend Whole Body Healthy Inflammation Response non-GMO, where recommended dosage is 6 softgels that I take 2 per meal. Bottle comes with 180 tiny caps aptly named unlike Dr Sinatra's Omega 3 little red pills that are horse pills. If I recall I got in on Amazon.
Rosemary 150 Mg
Tumeric 110 Mg
Ginger 100 Mg
Basil 100 Mg
Organic Green Tea 100 Mg
Oregano 40 Mg
pus a few other Chinese ingredients I never heard of
Thanks for the posts on the cancer/sugar myth. Kind of what I figured but I need to avoid sugars anyway for cardio and Lupron weight gain reasons.
