PFS, does it mean AFTER treatment?

When they speak of PFS at 4.6 months, does it mean 4.6 months after finishing chemo, or from the day you start chemo? Because most men are still on treatment when 4.6 months have passed.

I read this question first thing in the morning, while sitting in front of my pc at the kitchen table.
I don't know if it was my circadian hormonal cycle or if I had had too much soy milk in my coffee, but when I read your Q and thought about it for a minute, it hit me hard. I teared up and could not talk.
Basically, you were asking something like "Is it 4 months, 8 months, or 12 months?"
Your question brought home a reality I've been lucky enough to ignore. Thank you for waking me.
