If you're interested in getting in on a clinical trial for a prostate cancer vaccine based on a virus, go to
clinicaltrials.gov, enter "prostate cancer" and "vaccine" and "virus" in the search bar. Several should pop up. This class of immunotherapy uses what is called "oncolytic viruses" that attack the cancer and leave healthy cells alone, hopefully. Several different recombinant viruses have been engineered for this purpose - adenovirus, cocksackle virus, bacula virus, herpes simplex, vaccinia, etc. They are engineered to target in on specific PC genes. None have yet cured any cancer, but have seemed to increase the efficacy of chemo and other therapies.
Let us know if you do enter a clinical trial for one of them.
