Could anyone with stage T3b post here

I have been reading many many posts on here over the past couple of weeks. However I find it difficult finding those with similar a stage T3b (although I'm waiting on the open RP so hopefully it won't be worse than that when I'm opened up).

If those with T3b could post in here, even if it's just to say hello, I would like to look back on thier story/posts if that's alright. I've found this site extremely helpful so far, the knowledge I've gained has certainly helped ease the burden.

Hi there. My husband was diagnosed August 2013 with PSA at 3.7 and clinical stage T1C. He opted for robotic radical prostatectomy which was performed on October 31 2013. His path report came back as a surprise. He is PT3B, 4+3 with tertiary 5 and all the adverse conditions that can be added on (see signature below). Came through surgery great (he was 58 at the time), continence returned in about 3 weeks, ED still a work in progress but "intensely different" orgasms possible, and has had four PSA tests since surgery, each coming back as undetectable. However, with this more serious staging, we have decided on secondary treatment of radiation which will be 8 weeks of 70 gy total to start around June 16. The decision on radiation has been our biggest struggle. Surgery was a no-brainer, especially when we thought it was confined. But with the possibility of additional cancerous cells lurking in the prostage bed and radiation helping to effect a "cure," we feel we're making the most sensible decision. From what I've been able to research and those that have posted before, everyone is affected differently and treatment decisions are never cut and dry. What works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another. We wish you all the best, the first few months since diagnosis seem to be the toughest but things do calm down once a game plan is put into place.

T3BN1M0 at diagnosis - Lupron & radiation treatment, then developed single met to vertebra - additional spot radiation, then Provenge. PSA <.02 for 12 months!

Hello Ronnie,

I'm a T3b from 2011. Surgery + adjuvant radiation. Gleason 7 (with tertiary 5), positive margins, SVI, etc.etc.

But hey, so far, so good!

One more for the list. T3b after surgery. 1 positive Node found. Probable micromets, but haven't found any yet.

Thanks Jim. With it confirmed the nerves are going I've taken a little extra time to make up my mind on treatment.

I've got to say, this site has helped keep me sane over the past few weeks. Everyone who shares their own experience and helping others is an inspiration.
