PSA:4.52 at age 33

Hello
33 year routine annual blood test result of psa 4.5 last year Result 2.5 ..
Two Years ago-0.95
There were no sex or cycling 48Hr before the test.
I dont feel any infections and urinary tract infections, etc. ...
2 years ago i was diagnosed with azoospermia and Following this I did
US Transrktali with no speacial findings.

There is a sharp rise in the PSA values​​, which could be the reason?
Is there anything to fear from?

Welcome to the forum.

There are many things that can cause elevated PSA besides prostate cancer, but the fact that there is a long-term trend for increasing PSA, I would think that your urologist would consider a biopsy. If it were me, that is what I would be asking for, for peace of mind.

You are very young for prostate cancer onset, so let's hope it is something else.

I'm going to need some help with the word "Transrktali" since I don't know it. As I always do when confronted with an unfamiliar word I sneaked off and typed it into Google so I could go on pretending to know everything. Google only found two instances of it and they are both your posting, here and on cancerforums.net. Apparently you are the only person to ever type "Transrktali" into the Internet and now I am the second.

Was there a diagnosis for your azoospermia? It seems like some of the problems that could cause obstructive azoospermia could also cause an elevated PSA. And don't discount the possibility of a prostate infection. They often don't have much by way of symptoms.

Hi Peter,
So... "Transrktali" means DRE Im sorry but its took from Hebrew(my first language)
I did it the test to check if its what cause the azoospermia ( no biopsy was taken) block from prostate.
about the diagnosis of azoospermia,its complicated, until now even the doctor that do me the surgery don't know...
The results were great! 12 tubes with semen were found (allot).
My wife now in the 20 week of pregnancy after ivf :-)))
I have rare syndrome called "full situs inversus".that can cause also azoospermia ,and maybe lots of other things...

For now...
I am so worry because the PSA dont look good at all especially to my age.also the increase of value is concerning, Just half year ago i finished session of exams and one big operation because of the azoospermia and now a new issue just appear from nowhere.

Hope for good news...

First, congratulations on the pregnancy! That's great.

We get occasional guys your age who come here with worries and they seldom have prostate cancer.

We're glad you found us and will be interested to hear what your doctors say. But your condition is unusual and we're not likely to know much about it.

There are some conditions associated with azoospermia that cause inflammation from obstructions in the genital track. Kartagener'e syndrome does that, and men with situs inversus often have Kartagener's, too. There are tests your doctors can run that will help you rule out prostate cancer. I'd start by asking the doctors who did your operation.

Get a biopsy done sooner rather than later. And get follow up PSA tests more frequently
