Quick question . RRP on 4/27 2011
0.1 psa for two and one half yrs.
0.2 at three yr mark. gleason 6 before and after surgery.
no positive margins and psa was 4.2 at surgery.
Can I still be cured of this dreaded disease if I jump
right into rads or should I wait for another rise since this
was the first rise since surg?Could rise just be benign cells
in prostate bed?

Good questions for your RO.

In your place I'd want to confirm the rise to .20 with another test before doing RT. You want to make sure nothing went wrong with the test.

Cure is still a very real possibility. It's not unheard of for a few prostate cells to escape the knife and need to get zapped in to oblivion later. Pure speculation, but it's possible that you looking at benign cells.

Let us know what the doc says.

Had hodgkins disease in 97 so u can say Im an old pro at this c stuff.
Will keep everyone posted.
