Can time in the saunna slow or hurt the healing of nerves

Does anyone have any knowledge as to weather it is good or bad for the healing nerves (ED) to spend time in the sauna. I like to spend 30min or so in sauna a few times a week and I am little concerned that I might be slowing the return of sexual function or worse then that permantly damaging nerves. You do sit on hot wood while in there. I sit on a towel or try and stand when I can to keep that area from getting to hot.
I cant find any info as to weather its good or bad.

We have one too and though we haven't used it much since my surgery, I can't imagine it would impact nerve healing. Your body takes care of temperature control. That's why you sweat in a sauna.

Ya im sure theres some jokes in that line lol, I read that the nerve bundle for erection runs between the rectum and the prostate. I had around 8 biopsy's and I remember hitting the sauna once and I guess because of the perforations from the biopsy I felt stinging within minutes of sitting down. and had to wait a few weeks while I healed. I do know because of having a bad back that heat is good for the muscles but bad for a pinched and irritated nerve while healing. Common sense tells me that to much heat could be bad for a healing nerve but at the sametime its been around 4-months since surgery.
I guess Ill bug my urologist again although he seems to always say I can do what ever I want.
