Hi All

It has been 6 months since my last 3 month Trelstar shot and 3 months since discontinuing Casodex. Muscle pain and hot flashes continue.  Recently it has been more and more difficult to walk first thing in the moring when I get out of bed.  I hobble for 8 - 10 steps because of pain in my heels. I expected the muscle pain and hot flashes, hoping that they will end soon but the heel pain was not expected. Anybody have similar experiences?  Any guidance on how long this should last?

Come to think of it I had heel pain as well for quite a long time. I never attributed it to Pca or therapy until just this moment. I thought my man-gina was hurting. With all the hormones these last 8 years I certainly have one. Get some real comfy shoes.... It helps

I've had muscle pain in the calves of my legs and muscles just above the knees for well over a year now - leg cramps at night, often making sleep difficult. It's only been recently that I've found that these could be caused by Lupron (AKA 'the gift that keeps on giving').
Has anyone found a possible solution for this?

I have had muscle pain, bone pain, my knees hurt and my ankle is painful. Doesn't go away. Did I mention the stiffness and difficulty getting up from a chair or out of a car?

Yes the joys of androgen deprivation therapy, muscle pain, charley horses, joint pain, arthritis pain, insomnia, brain drain,hot flashes, zero libido, depression, fatigue hypertension ademia did I miss anything I have to admit surgery was a piece of cake. Pop a pill to sleep pop another to wake up. After a year of this I've totally forgotten what normal was. Every morning I open my eyes I consider it a bonus, when i stand up its a new challenge for the day, it's the new norm. Nine months to and I am on vacation hopefully a long one. Hang in there :-)

I guess I should consider myself lucky to have as few side effects as I have. Thanks to all for your help.  This forum is the best!

..I agree with all the above posts. It took a while for me to realize all the cramps, muscle pain and joint stiffness is from HT, thanks for sharing men. Once again I'm not the only one..

I agree with most of you guys...I've been on Lupron continuously for about 4 or 5 years. My whole body aches, it seems like all my joints hurt.....libido left years ago and never returned....luckily my partner says she is happy to have me alive.....I do walk 2-3 miles every day and I really feels it makes a difference. I am afraid that if I don't walk I won't be able to even get up. My PSA is now 0.44 which is down from 0.76 8 weeks ago....Lupron has failed but my docs still want me on it. I started nilutamide and that is working for now. The only side effect from it is my ability to drink some good beers is compromised...after 2 beers I turn beet red in the face !!! DR. Lam says that won't hurt the effectiveness of the drug, but that I won't enjoy my beer as much....geez.....ADT put me into diabetes so have to watch my food intake....what's left... a life of bean curd and tofu !!!! Maybe I should become a monk or something !!
