I might be way off base here but want to know if anyone else has experienced this
I had my surgery in December and am recovering fine but recently as I become more active
I find that I keep hurting my lower back which in the past had rarely or never happened
it even felt strained just sleeping on my side. my question is : when the remove prostate and pull things together does that make things tighter down there ? and more suspect to pulls

it's easy for us to associate all aches and pains to our PCa. But in the vast majority of cases ther eis no connection.

My back is a mess. And I get severe pains in my muscles/legs after running and even during running. My ankles aren't as sturdy as they used to be. When doing weights I now have to either avoid or modify back exercises. I've been doing major work in the yard with a pick axe for the last month and after 6-8 hours in the yard I can barely walk. Monday I went into NYC to just walk around the empty city and after some 40 blocks started feeling some hip pain.

It's all about aging and in my case, arthritis. Not sure how old you are, but the decline seems to be quick and steep. At 44 I am nowhere near as resilient and strong as I was at 35. My sister and wife complain about the same exact pains and aches.

I just posted this the other day. Our timing is similar.

I called my dr and they suggesred working on my abs as i was overstraining my back.

Started doing stomach exercises which hurt.

Since then my stomach doesnt hurt when working it and my back pain is gone.

They cut several areas and those spots tore and hurt when i started but that was shortterm.

im 59 and great shape I have never or rarely had back pain , now the littlest twist
or movement does it . I don't believe in co incidences

I can appreciate that, I too felt invincible until 2011. But in reality...

I also don't believe in coincidences but do believe in the established medical facts as outlined in link above. I am a betting man and I'd bet on the on the above rather than something associated with PCa.

I have a degenerative disc but after being on the operating table so long I now have radiculopathy. Have never been the same since, but take meds and I can still workout and run and bike. I am sure some of this is aging as well, but my surgery was not a smooth one.

Spend an hour or two with a physical therapist that can show you several exercises to build up other muscles like the hamstrings to help avoid back pain.

And or take a few days off doing nothing but eating half a bottle of ibuprofen.

actually the only reason we recently did a full body scan was due to some new back pain.

I was previously Oligometastatic, but never had any back pain.

Ironicaly scan showed bone mets had disappeared.

Radiation onco says if it is mets, pain never goes away and is excruciating.

I actually attributed the bout of pain to not being as young as I used to be, too much power washing the lanai, poor computer ergonomics and too much hedge trimming.

Got me a get out of jail card with respect to yard wook, hire somebody.
