Before HT, I was a nicely proportioned 172-180 weight, typically at 177.
My HT was stopped at the end of February. I was on it for a year. Starting in late November, the pounds kept packing on.
It went to a bit over 200. It was 192.5 at Lam's office but might be higher now, as we are on vacation.
Anyway, I hate where the weight has gone.,Abdominal fat. I now have this paunch. BLUBBER.
Anyone else have such a weight gain.
location?
Any chance of reducing this paunch? When I lose weight, will some of it come from this abdominal mass?

Yes, yes, and yes.
I gained close to 50 pounds (while on HT), have lost all but 15 (or so), and my jeans fall down because they don't fit anymore.
The loss was not proportional to the gain, and I'm not shaped the same anymore, but a lot of the excess weight is gone. But since I did the next shot last week, it will be coming back. I'm not tossing those jeans that are too big quite yet.

I've been on HT for 10 months, but haven't gained any weight. I lost 10 pounds after my DX because I was so depressed. I bicycled to my radiation treatments and still bicycle every day and weight lift. What kind of exercise do you do? Also try beans and rice for supper, low in calories but filling.

Sounds like you are doing great with the HT. I was doing fine weight wise for about
8 months. Then I just started getting real hungry and I ate too many snacks. But, also, the HT ITSELF did something.
My gym sessions have been uneven. At best 2-3 times per week. I would walk briskly to and from the gym and have a 70 minute workout. Lifting assorted weights via machines and do 20 minutes on the elliptical. But that's at my best. I had some other issues, back and foot and knee that did interfere.

After two years I am up about
40 lbs but I have also lost a fair amount of muscle mass -- despite being pretty good on the exercise thing -- and so I expect that the amount of fat I have put on is probably better than 50 lbs. That represents a change from about
220 lbs when I started to 260 now. I'm 6'4" and even now I don't strike most people as a waddling grotesque but I hate the extra weight.
I can usually control my weight by avoiding carbohydrates but after about
8 months of ADT it started to creep up. But, in defense of my low carb diet I fell off the low-carb wagon during GFMPH Alaska and my weight gain was markedly faster.

Mel,
Are you taking metformin? Weight loss is a common side effect of this drug, not weight gain....interesting.
You usually can't spot reduce, but through diet and exercise you can get the whole body in shape...
Do simple things like substituting water for surgery drinks...take a walk...

Started metformin. Kidney test results were not good. Just re-started about
4 weeks ago and tests are ok this time.
Most of the weight gain was before I restarted the metformin

I've been on lupron six weeks and SRT for three weeks. Weight has been fairly steady but I'm too heavy. Belly is too big. I play golf three times a week and work out three days with weights machines bands and cardio. I eat pretty well mostly salads fish chicken fruits and yogurt. My downfall is wine beer and vodka. Got to have some vices! Cymbalta and deplin are great for relieving depression and muscle pain!
