Here is a link to an online comic. My daughter posted the link on Facebook and it is funny and safe for work. There is a link to a "bonus panel" at the bottom that adds a few more frames to the comic.

My question for my ADT brethren is whether there is just a soupçon of too-close-for-comfort sadness about it. There is for me.

Soupçon is a slightly pretentious French word meaning a little bit that tried to worm its way into the English language in the early part of the 20th century and seems to have been largely repulsed.

I like its pompous, food-critic sound. It is part of my reading vocabulary and I have no clue how it is pronounced. (If I had to guess I would try "Soo coh" on the theory that spoken French doesn't bother with terminal consonants in syllables but, while I might fool you, anyone who spoke French would catch me out.) Other words I could have used to give more or less the same meaning are

tad, bit, touch, hint, tittle, smidgeon, dab, spot, note and dollop.

soupcon? you should probably stick to the strip bars.... be true to yourself. Wet pants and a soggy willy are worth it to save your life, but speaking French? You gotta draw the line somewhere! Just kidding Peter - excellent cartoon and a fun thread.

Yeh, hit s a little close to home for thiose of us with squelched libidos.

So far the best way I have found to explain it to my spouse Karen is to have her read Todd Seals blogs to Mandy.
