I have recently have had some pain in my lower right back. It only hurts when I move a certain way like a nerve is pinched. It doesn't hurt while playing golf, bending or when sleeping. Is this a sign of bone met. I am currently on triple ADT vacation for the second time. My last PSA was 0.018 at the end of April. Thanks for any replies.

Based on what mine feel like, no. I don't have flinches or passing pain. It is constant.

But the numbers also are against that - with a PSA at that level. But I would expect you are on three-month PSA tests, so I would bring it up with the uro at the next visit if it concerns you.

Well, Stop moving that certain way....just kidding with you. I know how aches and pains can make you think it's related to PC, but I doubt it's related. We're not in our 20s and 30s anymore....

We are extremely cautious about diagnosing in this room and I offer this with all of the appropriate disclaimers. "Not impossible but given the evidence, very,very unlikely." But talk to your uro to quiet your apprehensions. In the meantime take Jerry's advice. Don't move that certain way. Good luck.

Thanks for all your replies. I will take the advice and just play golf instead of moving that certain way. I see Dr. Lam on the 4th of August and will bring it up with him.

He is my doctor, too. I do 1-3 phone consultations per year and 1 visit per year (I fly out from Michigan).

I had lower back pain many years ago including sciatic pain down right leg from buttock. It happened when I foolishly tried to move a heavy desk. I saw two docs; one recommended surgery, the other said try PT. It was a herniated disc. I did PT and had cortisone shots and it went away. If you can play golf it can't be that bad. I had to stop playing for four months. I suggest you see a pain management doctor and see if a shot is in order. Did you have an MRI to find out what's causing the pain?
